Sara holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering, is pursuing her Master’s Degree in Engineering Management, and works as a Transportation Design Engineer at HNTB. When not working on engineering, Sara has gained attention on YouTube with her flute covers of songs by popular symphonic metal artists such as Epica, Nightwish, and Within Temptation. Sara is currently working on her first original album specifically for the Symphonic Metal Flute written in collaboration with musicians from around the world such as Canada, Italy, United States, Poland, Russia, and more. Her first single entitled “Blackened Heart of Gold”, due to be released mid-October 2019, is a heavily orchestrated piece inspired by the University of Central Florida. “Blackened Heart of Gold” is a song that starts with full orchestration then incorporates heavy guitars, drums, and bass to get the audience participating and active! The album features songs that fans of both classical music and metal music can appreciate as well as inspire a new generation of musicians and supporters around the world! By amplifying the flute wirelessly, she is able to draw interest into an instrument commonly thought to be restricted only to the orchestral and classical sector.
